Room Layouts
Classic Boardroom Layout This is the most common style for boardrooms and meetings. It consists of a large table in the centre of the room with chairs positioned around it.
This works well for meetings that do not involve too many people, such as board meetings or team meetings, where there is no need for individual presentations but excellent for discussions.
U-Shaped Layout A number of tables are positioned end to end to create a U-shape. Chairs are positioned around the outer edge of the tables, and the space in the middle can be used for host talks/presentations.
This works well for meetings, interviews, training sessions, and workshops.
Classroom Layout Set out similar to a classroom as rows of tables from front to back with everyone sat behind tables facing the host at the front of the room.
This would work well with presentations, exams, talks, craft sessions, workshops, and training.
Theatre Layout This is similar to the classroom style but has more tables and more people.
This would work well with presentations, exams, talks, craft sessions, workshops, and training.
Banquet Layout is where various tables are positioned around the room with groups of people sitting around each.
This would work well with art and craft sessions, workshop sessions, and training sessions.
Cabaret Layout is similar to Banquet Layout seating but usually features round tables with chairs placed 2/3 of the way around to leave an open space at one end of the table.
This would work well with a conference/seminar that has to look at a Projector presentation or listen to host/s giving presentations.
